Synopsis

    This work is based on the design prototype of a household air conditioner indoor unit, using environmentally friendly oak wood panels and made through laser cutting and mortise and tenon splicing technology. The work restores the classic appearance of the air conditioning unit, with a grille style air outlet paired with built-in rotatable yellow fan blades, and a power switch on the side to achieve true fan blade rotation, combining decoration, interactivity, and educational value.

    The overall design is based on the concept of "symbiosis between technology and nature", using the warm texture of natural wood to weaken the industrial coldness and hardness of household appliances, transforming daily household appliances into home items that combine aesthetic expression and handmade warmth, suitable for various home styles such as simplicity and freshness.

Design philosophy

    The work revolves around "deconstructing daily life and reshaping temperature", drawing inspiration from common air conditioning units in daily life, breaking away from the cold industrial impression of traditional household appliances, and using natural oak wood as a carrier to reconstruct the form of technological products through handmade methods. The structure of mortise and tenon joint not only retains the natural texture of the wood, but also demonstrates the integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern design; The rotatable fan blades inject dynamic vitality into static ornaments, presenting technological elements in a gentle and healing way, conveying the home design concept of "practicality and aesthetics coexisting".

Craftsmanship and Materials

- Material: Environmentally friendly oak board, with a warm and natural texture, suitable for laser engraving and mortise and tenon joint technology.
- Process: Laser cutting is used to accurately process the board, and it is assembled through mortise and tenon structure splicing, which can be stably formed without additional glue; The body text adopts laser engraving technology, with clear details and durable wear resistance; Built in small motor and yellow fan blades, paired with a side power switch, achieve interactive effect of fan blade rotation.

1. Form restoration and creative reconstruction: Reproduce the classic appearance of the air conditioning unit, while reshaping it with natural wood materials, breaking the boundaries between home appliances and home furnishings.
2. Interactive design: The fan blades can be controlled to rotate through switches, combining fun and educational value, allowing viewers to intuitively experience the operating principles of household appliances.
3. Craftsmanship Fusion: The precise lines of laser cutting are combined with the traditional craftsmanship of mortise and tenon joints, showcasing the warmth of handmade craftsmanship and the ingenuity of modern design.
4. Strong style adaptability: The simple texture of natural wood is suitable for various home styles, and can be used as desktop ornaments and creative decorations, combining practicality and aesthetic value.
