Source of inspiration 

Strolling through traditional ancient architecture, the continuous ten thousand character patterns on the window frames and the winding grass patterns at the corners are impressive. The Wan Zi pattern symbolizes continuity and perpetuity, while the curly grass pattern symbolizes endless life and vitality, and is a millennium old Eastern decorative language. I am considering whether it is possible to peel off these classical patterns that carry good wishes from walls and wooden windows, and transform them into desktop objects that are close to the daily lives of teachers and students, relying on the technology of scientific and technological laser creation to complete the modern translation of traditional patterns. 

Design philosophy 

The box body adopts a modular mortise and tenon joint scheme, which can be assembled without additional fasteners. Visually, it adopts a full and balanced composition, with the box body covered with a regular and continuous ten thousand character grille, and the top cover decorated with curled grass carvings at the four corners, creating a stable and elegant Chinese style atmosphere with a symmetrical layout. Using natural wood panels and relying on laser engraving to form deep and shallow texture layers, rejecting excessive painting. Reserved seal carving area on the top, marking the information of the Science and Technology Innovation Center and creators, giving handmade works exclusive commemorative significance. I hope this tissue box not only has a storage function, but also allows teachers and students to experience the auspicious meaning contained in traditional patterns during their daily interactions, and make Chinese aesthetics permanent on the classroom desktop.
