Hyperboloid is the structure displayed when the top of a rotating cylinder is rotated. Hyperboloids are fascinating because they can create seemingly complex surfaces using straight parts.
I also realized that the surface generated by my laser blade generator is hyperbolic. When the laser is pointed straight and rotated, the laser surface is cylindrical. When the laser tilts and rotates, it forms a hyperbolic surface.
