The earliest appearance of stationery in ancient times was probably in the late Ming Dynasty, when pen holders were set up on the desks of literati. This is somewhat different from the imagination of ordinary people. The pen holder has a simple shape, with a similar mouth base and a cylindrical shape, with few major changes. Compared to other stationery, the pen holder is simple and practical, but before the mid Ming Dynasty, there was no pen holder in stationery.
