By Kiteman in Laser Cutting
My youngest child, hurry up16At the age of, he decided that the excavator themed lampshade he made should retire, so he asked me to make something else to replace it. Of course, I chose a laser cutting machine
The1Step: Design the lampshade
The lampshade I designed is suitable for standard British chandelier accessories. This means it needs a diameter3A circular hole in centimeters, located at the top of the joint. I fiddled with many other lampshades in the house and determined that it needed at least one8A centimeter inner diameter is necessary for my hands to enter and handle the light bulb. Of course, it needs to be long enough to enclose low-energy light bulbs. I started with a radial Flat noodles design, but it looks too simple, even though I am a minimalist, so I slanted the Flat noodles. This small change greatly improves the appearance of the accessory.
The2Step: Something needed
The lampshade adopts3Made of millimeter plywood. You can useMDFCorrugated cardboard,CorrexOr transparent/Translucent acrylic. No matter what material or tool you use, you need to use suitable glue to fix it together - For plywood, ordinaryPVAWood glue is perfect.
The3Step: Cutting
The4Step: Construction
As long as they are all in the same direction, it doesn't matter which direction you are in between the two parts of the framework. The finished color tone will not be greatly affected by mechanical load or stress, so only one drop of glue is needed in each groove - Add glue and push in the Flat noodles. Once you add a few Flat noodles, the rest enter very quickly - The entire structure takes less than ten minutes, and the glue only needs to dry15or20minute. The5Step: Keep going!
