The cottage originated in Germany and has a long history. There is a legend that goes back a long time ago: there was a handsome and capable poor carpenter in the town of Jim who fell in love with the Count's daughter. They got along very well and happily, but the good times didn't last long. The Count was very angry when he found out and wanted to marry his daughter to the son of the Duke of the neighboring town. The Count's daughter sadly told her father that if she married the Duke's son, she would die. In order to ensure her safety, the Count came up with a way to make her give up. He told the poor carpenter that if he could build a house within a week, he would marry his daughter to him. If he couldn't build it, he would leave the town. The poor carpenter pondered at home, but couldn't come up with a solution and unknowingly fell asleep. I saw many beautiful houses in my dream, and when I woke up, I thought to myself: If I could make a beautiful little house for the Count, wouldn't that be enough? So the poor carpenter locked himself up at home and worked day and night to make a small house. A week later, the poor carpenter appeared at the Count's house holding tightly packaged items, and people around him began to discuss. The poor carpenter gently tore off the outer packaging, and a small and unparalleled house appeared before the Count's eyes. The poor carpenter said I made it according to your rules, didn't you say small houses are not acceptable? The Count was speechless and was also impressed by the clever wit and exquisite craftsmanship of the young carpenter. He fulfilled his promise and married his daughter to the young carpenter. Later on, they lived happily ever after, and Jim Town also had this custom: if they met their beloved, they would make a small house with their own hands and give it to them, representing the desire to hold hands with them and reconcile with them in old age. This custom has been passed down until the mid-20th century, and finally spread to various countries around the world, becoming a popular personalized gift among couples and friends
