Colorful lanterns, also known as flower lanterns, are traditional Han Chinese handicrafts that are widely popular and have high artistic value in China. Lantern art is the comprehensive decorative art of lights. In ancient times, its main function was lighting, using paper or silk as the outer skin of lanterns, and the skeleton was usually made of bamboo or wooden strips, with candles or light bulbs placed in the middle as lighting tools. Influenced by Han culture, lanterns are also quite common items in temples of many countries in Asian Chinese areas.
